經常使用鉛筆的朋友，難免會積下大把大把的鉛筆頭，留著沒啥用，丟掉又可惜，但如果你手中是這款能長出綠芽的鉛筆 -萌芽鉛筆Sprout Pencil，那麼事情多少能變得有趣味一點。

鉛筆頭裡面有植物種子，用到只剩短短一節的時候，將它倒過來插進泥土裡澆上水，不多久就能長出嫩綠的植物。

美國麻省理工學院的Democratech在鉛筆的一頭藏了一個膠囊，裡面有三顆種子，當鉛筆短到不好用的時候，把它反過來插到花土裡，澆水後膠囊會溶解釋放種子，就可長出各種植物，每盒8支，含不同的種子，包括：basil 羅勒、cilantro 香菜(芫荽)、dill 蒔蘿、mint 薄荷、parsley 歐芹(洋芫荽)、rosemary 迷迭香、sage 鼠尾草、thyme 百里香

註：後來更加入了calendula 金盞菊, cherry tomato 櫻桃茄, marigold 法國萬壽菊, morning glory 牽牛花等

Really cute and interesting; great idea for developing gardening interest for young children.
