I was thinking this laptop's specs are enough for playing the latest game, but i am usually using it for project. I bought this laptop which i think is the best during that time.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T7500  @ 2.20GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM

If i need to upgrade, which should i go for?

For playing the latest game, better play in desktop. Anyway, your laptop is powerful enough to handle latest games.
