And it’s a Budget to which the general response was “same old, same old”. From across the political divide, from the FTU to People Power, came criticisms that the Budget did little to help the needy, nor – for that matter - the middle class. There seemed to be little connection with the proposals in Chief Executive Leung Chung-ying’s first Policy Address, and it didn’t really address future social issues such as an aging population. , V/ J3 ]# j. r4 t2 O- ^$ q
