Canal Forth and Clyde was built in 1777, between harbors Grangemouth and Falkirk connecting Glasgow with west cost of Scotland.
: x3 u- j4 g3 i2 T( H5 [4 Ftvb now,tvbnow,bttvbCanal Union between Falkirk and Edinburgh was finished in 1822. Because of geographical difficulties, which created a difference of 79 ft. in elevation, the two canals were connected by 11 locks.

This is a fascinating canal in Scotland. Especially with a elevation of 79 ft between two canals. The swinging transportation is very genius design to save space.
