玩具其實在香港的發展史上扮演一個重要的角色，不單經濟如工業時期的製造業，文化及藝術層面如時下流行的手版人型公仔及搪膠創作等，但究竟多少人，不管男女老幼，在每天接觸玩具時，大家又對玩具的歴史、文化、未來有多大認識！ “玩具誌” 介紹種各樣的玩具，帶出不同時期的潮流及文化，詳細描述給觀眾，使更多玩具的資訊展現在觀眾眼前。以玩具種類為每集主題，並以玩具的歷史，帶出當時的文化及潮流等，並帶到觀眾眼前，透過訪問不同的専家如玩具發燒友，收藏家，玩具KOL，文化學者，現時或以往的玩具廠商及現代玩具創作藝術者等，從中知道不同的時期，玩具又會扮演如何不一樣的角色及擁有不一樣的地位。節目內更會展示珍貴的玩具實物，另觀眾嘆為觀止！
