The name 悉尼 has been used as the official name for Sydney for at least six to seven years now, when pronounced in Mandare in, it's a much closer translation of Sydney compare to 雪梨 . Just like the name Beijing instead of Peking for 北京 in English. However, in a Chinese restaurants, if you try to order a Beijing Duck, the waiter wouldn't know what you are trying to order though. : L! S9 f$ m4 d: j+ V公仔箱論壇- L a. f/ @( B7 T8 K- |4 G
I can't help but to add some caption to these beautiful photos: ( F O8 a1 H) I/ o) OThe first one is either from the Sydney Botanic Garden or at the Hyde Park, they are both very nice spots to relax and have a leisurely sunbake during the lunch break for many Sydneysiders. % J4 L, `1 @9 E: S/ `公仔箱論壇Then there is the famous Sydney Opera House taken from the western side.* N1 c4 U1 I4 z: Z5 ^$ F) o
Followed by two photos of the snow fields at Perisher Valley, not much snow yet, give it another 4 to 5 weeks, then it would be right into the skiing season.公仔箱論壇# B4 M# e' g, }0 V

Then we are heading north toward central coast up, about an hour and a half drive from Sydney, we get to the a place call The Entrance, a really nice spot, the ranger feed the Pelicans twice a day, quite an interesting sight. Great fish and chips shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice fishing spot too. tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb% n0 d% f0 _; J7 a. D
Here we are back to Sydney at the St Andrew's Cathedral, an Anglican church next to the Sydney townhall.公仔箱論壇 ^. e, Z' S% M/ A- k% n6 \3 h
The last one is specially for the shopaholics. The renovated Queen Victoria Building, there used to be an up market Chinese restaurant inside, but it's now turned into another shop. A very nice shopping arcade.公仔箱論壇& B' n* d% A, \; R- c/ Z
