Van Nistelrooy - We've got a great opportunity and we're working hard to win eve

With his injured left calf all but a distant memory, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is looking forward to making his possible return on Sunday against Getafe. He knows it's going to be a long season and that Real Madrid will be waging wars on several fronts. The Dutchman is a firm believer in lineup rotations and he praised Raúl, mentioned Baptista's brilliant goal, and has faith in his team.

How do you feel? Will you be ready for the Getafe match?
I am better and it's possible that I get to play against Getafe.

How do you feel about the Code of Conduct that the President gave you this morning?
Good. I haven't seen it yet, but I am going to read it.  Do you need so many rules?
I'm okay with it. I have never had any problems. I'm going to continue being me and I will read it all. Values are very important for such a great club, and for me on a personal level as well.  You're a good kid, aren't you?
I think it's important to live a certain way with my family and everything around us. I also think it's important to be a good footballer, but sometimes being a good person takes precedence.

Were you ever given anything similar with Manchester or the Dutch national team?
It's the first time, but it's fine. It's what the club and players want. The players know how to live as professionals, but it's good that we're all on the same page. We've got a great opportunity and we're working hard to win every match we can. That's the goal.

How do you feel about the rotations? Will Raúl sit and you start?
I don't know. I'll come in tomorrow and we'll see how I feel. I think I'll be fit for Sunday. Rotations are good for the team. The team pretty much works the same way no matter who is on the pitch. Rotations are very important for the team this season.

Wouldn't it be bad to give Raúl a rest when he is performing so well?
It's better not to when he's playing like he is. Not playing for the national team is a huge advantage because he can have the entire week off.
Are you the boss of all the Dutch players?
They're all pretty well off. They have their houses. I don't have to work too much with them.  Why is it so hard for the team to pull off wins?
Everyone thought Madrid would win every match the same way we did against Villarreal. It's hard. There's a lot of talent in this League. Betis played very well yesterday, just like Valladolid and Almería did. We got off to a slow start, but we can change that. Matches can turn out a lot easier if we come out like we did in the second half.

Playing for your national team is bad because you're a ot more tired when you get back.
That's just how it is. I get less time to rest, but it's a goal of mine, just like last year. It's all possible with rotations and a little more rest. It's possible for me because of the way I train and live.

What did you think about Robben in the one-on-one that resulted in a penalty for Raúl?
We have seen what Robben is capable of. A defender has it impossible in a one-on-one because he is so fast. He's improving more and more as he gets playing time, and he should be 100% in a few weeks. He'll be deadly against other teams.  And what about Baptista's goal?
It was fantastic, absolutely brilliant. He did it so quickly. The ball wasn't very high off the ground and it went in with such force. But Baptista played very well even without the goal. He is very talented.  Is Messi the best player in the world?
He isn't bad, is he (laughs)? He's phenomenal. He's one of the great footballers of the future being just 19. Before there was Ronaldo, Zidane... He's just 19 and incredible. He's got his entire future ahead of him. He's got millions of options if he continues playing like he is.  Can you picture Ronaldinho in England?
I think any player as talented as him can play anywhere in the world. It's not my problem. We'll see what happens. I can't really say much more right now.
