CISSE: BOND WILL NEVER BE BROKEN

Marseille striker Djibril Cisse has revealed how he'll always share a special bond with the Anfield faithful.
The Frenchman returns to his former club tonight, though injury could restrict him to a place on the substitutes' bench.

It's not the first time he's been back to England since his summer move across The Channel, as he still owns a mansion in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Cisse has no intention of selling his second home and claims a piece of his heart will always remain on Merseyside.

He told LFC Magazine: "It was always my number one choice to stay, but you cannot always have what you want in football. I still have my house here and have no plans to sell, and I get back to the area whenever I can.

"I have so many good memories of my time here. The Champions League final, the Super Cup and FA Cup finals, I feel bonded to this club. The win in Istanbul was the highlight. It was such a crazy game and a crazy night. No player could ever forget that and I imagine the fans will always remember it.

"That is what bonds us, the players and the fans who were all there that night. It is something that will stay with me forever."
