title contenders ?

Sorry I don't think we are one of title contenders after watching tonight game
We are not "hungry" enough like the other top 3 to try to win every games.
Our attack is just no pace - SLOW, the other top 3 are much better.
Our manager still playing long ball game every week .... yes we might be able to win some tour but not the EPL it needs to play great week-in week-out
In this game I just don't understand why to keep Kuyt to the last min he had a very bad game, I know he is not the top class striker but
he can't even
- keep the ball
- pass the ball
in the last few games ....
Also we just waste Gerrard talent, keep playing him too deep .... he should lead the attack !!!
Hope we will have better performance in year2008.

Agree. I watched the match, kuyt is really not a great striker. Wonder how can he scored so many goals in dutch league.
We should at least get a striker with better control and hold the ball. Torres first touch is poor as well.
Kewell is providing a lot of crosses from the left but no one is connecting with him.
Liverpool still got long way to go to be a EPL champion. Sigh...

Yes, correct. Gerrard should play more up front, he is the greatest attacking midfielder in world. What a waste to put him to defense, macherano should be the backfield.

To me, i always see Liverpool as a team that need sometime to warm-up at the beginning of the Season.
Surprisingly, this season, Liverpool performance was not as consistence as before.
If we look around the squads, many attacking players for Benz to pick whichever they are facing.
This year, i feel Liverpool has made too many chances in the squad!
Two fresh (but experiance) striker joining the Team....Torres and Voronin,
Two fresh attacking midfield also joining the team.....Bennayoun and Babel.
Those remain with the club including Gerrard, Kuyt, Kewell, Pennent, Crouch..all would also be the attacking option for Liverpool.
At last, i strongly feel Benz should have select/pick a regular starting 11 and then train as a good unit and trying to play them regularly.
By this way, Liverpool will back to the title container's as mentioned above.

kuyt really has been disappointing
for 10m striker, he has way under-performed
he never looked like scoring in any games this season
i just can't understand a striker like him who scored 20 goals in the Dutch league could end up playing here as if he was never gonna score

Although his ability is still in doubt
his performance against Man C was better when compared his last few games
at least he had a header chance which saw to be the most threatening attack last night
and he created a better chance for Torres by leaving the ball to the back from the cross on the left side
