Champions League - Tuesday team news: Buffon out

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is missing from Juventus' squad for Tuesday's Champions League Group H game against Bate Borisov due to a thigh strain.

Buffon played in Juve's 1-0 victory over Zenit St Petersburg in their opening Champions League group game.
Denmark midfielder Christian Poulsen will be rested by coach Claudio Ranieri for the match in Minsk while defender Nicola Legrottaglie is in the squad after missing Saturday's goalless draw at Sampdoria in Serie A with a muscle problem.
The Bianconeri have dropped to seventh in the Serie A standings.
"The fact that we haven't won in the last two games means something is missing, but we are on the right path and I'm confident we will improve," Ranieri said.
Lack of goalscoring has hindered them, with Italy stars Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta out of action and France striker David Trezeguet also missing after knee surgery.
"We are missing Trezeguet," Ranieri said. "But I have other strikers that are good. We just need to work hard and do the best we can.
"Sooner or later the goals will come, but we need to continue to work hard."
Ranieri will be hoping Del Piero can come up with the goods as he did against Zenit, and he is expected to start alongside Amauri.
Viktor Goncharenko's Bate side take on Juve sitting proudly atop the domestic Vysshaya Liga with 53 points from 23 games.
Unbeaten on the domestic front, they go into the game in buoyant mood after a 2-0 win. However the hosts will be without experienced midfielder Aleksandr Ermakovich, who underwent knee surgery and has been ruled out for the rest of the year.
Bayern Munich v Lyon
Juergen Klinsmann is under pressure when Bayern Munich host Lyon on Tuesday after the Bavarian giants lost again at the weekend and sit ninth in the Bundesliga.
Franck Ribery may be key to Bayern's chances, whether he is fit to start or appears as a substitute.
The French star is yet to begin a match since suffering an ankle injury at Euro 2008, but came on during the second half of the weekend defeat against Hanover.
That was only his second appearance from the bench and he showed only brief flashes of his ability .
The other big question will be how struggling goalkeeper Michael Rensing performs against Lyon, who extended their lead in Ligue 1 to six points at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Nancy featuring Karim Benzema's sixth league goal in seven matches.
Benzema was substituted in the second half with a sore ankle but coach Claude Puel said he would be fit to play.
"Our goal is at least one point, ideally three," Benzema said.
The seven-times French champions, who started with a 2-2 home draw with Fiorentina, will be without Italy defender Fabio Grosso, still nursing fractured ribs, but should welcome back their captain, Brazil midfielder Juninho, after a groin problem.
Forward Sidney Govou, who was suspended against Nancy but should play on Tuesday, said he feared a burst of Bayern pride.
"Bayern are still a great team," he said. "They can wake up and they will be at home. I would have been more confident if they'd had a great start to the season."
Bayern won their first Group F match 1-0 away to Steaua Bucharest while Lyon came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Fiorentina.
Fenerbahce v Dynamo Kiev
Coach Luis Aragones has injury problems ahead of Fenerbahce's Group G clash at home to Dynamo Kiev.
The Turkish club's squad has been reduced to its bare bones and woefully underperformed in their last Champions League fixture, a 3-1 defeat to Porto, to prop up the table.
Star striker Semih Senturk is a major doubt, as are newcomer Juan Pablo Josico, winger Gokcek Vederson and defender Edu Dracena.
Captain Alex De Souza, the heartbeat of the Fener team, is also on the injury list, but forward Daniel Guiza has a chance of recovering in time to make the bench.
The Istanbul side are eighth in their domestic table, their worst start to a season for 20 years, under Euro 2008-winning coach Aragones.
However they boast a fearful recent Champions League record at the Sukru Saracoglu, having won every home match en route to their quarter-final exit at the hands of Chelsea. They are unbeaten at home in Europe in 14 games stretching back to November 2004.
In contrast, Dynamo have a poor recent record in Europe. Yuri Semin's men have drawn one and lost seven of their last eight group-stage games, scoring two goals and conceding 18.
However they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in the opening fixture this season and sit joint top of the Ukrainian Superliga.
Dynamo coach Semin is likely to stick with the same players who impressed at home against Arsenal two weeks ago.
Midfielder Roman Eremenko was particularly impressive, as was Ismael Bangoura, who caused the Gunners defence problems all night and scored the opener from the penalty spot. Playmaker Oleksandr Aliyev was also heavily influential.
