There was a similar incident lately happening in Empire Center in Richmond in July as well. Graffiti with hate message to Chinese caused worries in shop owners of the mall. The management contacted the police and claimed the police handled the case half-heartedly.   Only after this incident was widely reported by the Chinese media then the police adopted a more wholehearted approach, leading to quick arrest.
