He's been in power and was being labelled as a terrorist for such a long time, and yet he survived and thrived in such seemingly hostile international arena. World leaders are willing to turn a blind eye when no self-interests were involved. If there are, they would find justification for war, by demonizing the target or revealing information they withhold. I cannot share the jubilant spirit now in Libya and the world, bloody civil wars are on the heels of his death. The countries supporting the rebels would inevitably be vying for control of the emerging government, if there is one soon. It is very dangerous to treat this incident as a successful rebellion against a tyrant when we are unaware of the turbulence beneath the surface. Today's Guardian has a cartoon that succinctly summarizes the thing I said. - U7 c' V2 S, r8 {4 ]! m+ |- C
