I agreed that there is no point comparing city to city, just like comparing an apple to orange, they are two different things. However, while HK was still under British government, most public works were efficient. From the very first 徙置區, 公屋, 地鐵, 新機場等, all on target. But look at now, all politicians just oppose to every government projects and moves, with or without reasons. This may be how democracy should work. Just like the fable "父子和驢", how could someone listen and act to different voices. 民主不是要令每個人都開心, 因為每個人的要求是不一樣的.
