Watford striker Odion Ighalo faces a late fitness test after returning back to the club late following international duty with Nigeria. Sebastian Prodl remains unavailable owing to a calf injury, as does Tommie Hoban (groin and hip injuries), Joel Ekstrand (knee) and Rene Gilmartin (knee). Beyond those, Sanchez Flores has a fully-fit squad from which to choose, although problems could yet surface for Allan Nyom, should he be punished by the Cameroon Football Association for missing their recent World Cup qualifiers.

Louis van Gaal is suffering from a striker shortage. Wayne Rooney (illness) and Anthony Martial (foot) are out while James Wilson cannot play 90 minutes because of a lack match fitness.
