TheLakers smashed the Nuggets 119-92 in Game 6 to win the WesternConference Finals 4-2 and head into the NBA Finals as the favorite overOrlando, but the series against Denver wasn’t always that easy.

TheLakers took a five-point lead into the second quarter and used a 20-7run to close the first half with a 13-point lead that they almostimmediately pushed to 20 in the third quarter.

Itcertainly was a good way to head back into the NBA Finals, where L.A.would extend its winning streak to four games after capturing Games 1and 2 against the Orlando Magic.

Sinkingthe single most important shot of the NBA season wasn’t the first timeDerek Fisher had nailed a playoff buzzer-beater, of course, yet when henailed a three-pointer in the face of Orlando’s Jameer Nelson with 4.6seconds left in regulation of Game 4 of the NBA Finals to forceovertime, his blood became a different kind of cold.

It continues tomold my appreciation for the history of the NBA and the Lakers, andwhat all the moments mean. It motivates me to work even harder thissummer to try and be in a position to do it again next year, becauseit’s just crazy to think about those moments and how they will live onforever. I think I’m just starting to realize that. A lot of these kidsthat are here and a lot of these parents that have been Lakers fans for10, 15, 20 years, those moments signify a lot of great memories intheir life. For my name and things that I’ve done to be a part of thatis a little bit trippy, pretty humbling, but exciting and motivating aswell.”
