英式下午茶（Afternoon Tea）。

英國人喝下午茶的方式豐儉由人，由高貴的正式茶聚（tea party），到可以不喝茶只吃點心的餐飲（high tea），都可以稱為下午茶。
隨著時代發展，英國婦女逐漸擁有自己的事業，部分人視傳統的下午茶為過時的習俗，因此現在不是所有英國人到了下午三四點就一定會喝下午茶。
時下的英式下午茶一般在下午三點半到四點半進行。英式下午茶的专用紅茶为產自英屬殖民地印度的大吉岭红茶与伯爵茶、或锡兰高地红茶

從飲茶文化的發源來講，最早於下午喝茶的民族，理應是一向以茶文化著稱的古代中國。然而隨著時代的發展，將下午茶發展為一種既定習俗的文化方式，則是英國人。
一種流行的傳說認爲，在1840年一位英國上流社會的女士：贝德芙公爵夫人安娜女士，在下午時分因百無聊賴，讓女僕準備了少量的烤麵包片、奶油和紅茶。
這種簡便的飲食方式很快就成爲了英國貴族們打發下午時光的一種絕佳方式。
然而下午茶的發展也受到了當地文化的影響，在以嚴謹禮儀要求著稱的英國，下午茶逐漸產生了各式各樣的禮節要求與習慣。並成爲英國上流社會中每日必不可少的社交環節之一。

Dover Castle 多佛城堡

Dover Castle is a medieval castle in the town of the same name in the English county of Kent.
It was founded in the 12th century and has been described as the "Key to England" due to its defensive significance throughout history.
It is the largest castle in England.

古堡中保存着享利八世及王公们使用过的器物。城堡下有三条数千米长的地道。一条是与古堡一起修建的，另两条是第二次世界大战时修建的，是当时英军秘密的指挥中心和医院，1996年才对外开放。
现在进入地道可以感受当时飞机、大炮轰鸣爆炸的声音，可以闻到医院和食堂的气味。里边十分宽敞，设施完善，功能齐全，真是个完善的医院和司令部。
地道的入口在海边的绝壁上，这就是著名的多佛白悬崖。白悬崖直插海里，近百米高似斧削的绝壁危崖全是白岩石，所以称为“白悬崖”。

English folklore 英格兰民俗

English folklore is the folk tradition that has evolved in England over the centuries. England abounds with folklore, in all forms, from such obvious manifestations as semi-historical Robin Hood tales, to contemporary urban myths and facets of cryptozoology such as the Beast of Bodmin Moor.

Examples of surviving English folk traditions include the Morris dance and related practices such as the Abbots Bromley Thorn Dance and the Mummers Play. In many, usually rural places, people still gather for May Day festivals on the first of May to celebrate the beginning of summer. This traditionally involves local children skipping around a maypole - a large pole erected on the village green (historically a tree would have been specially cut down) - each carrying a coloured ribbon, resulting in a multi-coloured plaited pattern. The festival traditionally features Morris dancing and various festivities, culminating in the crowning of a 'May Queen'. Many regional variations of the festivals exist; the oldest still practised today is the "'Obby 'Oss festival of Padstow, which dates back to the 14th century. The utopian vision of a traditional England is sometimes referred to as Merry England.

Lambeth Palace 兰贝斯宫

Lambeth Palace is the official London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury in England. It is located in Lambeth, on the south bank of the River Thames a short distance upstream of the Palace of Westminster on the opposite shore. It was acquired by the archbishopric around 1200. It is bounded by Lambeth Palace Road to the west and Lambeth Road to the south.

The palace is now also home to Lambeth Palace Library, the official library of the Archbishop of Canterbury and principal holder of records for the history of the Church of England, founded as a public library by archbishop Richard Bancroft in 1610. This contains a vast collection of material relating to ecclesiastical history, including archbishops' and bishops' archives and papers relating to various Anglican missionary and charitable societies. The valuable collection of original manuscripts contains important material, some dating as far back as the 9th century. The various other collections contain material on an immense variety of topics from the history of art and architecture to colonial and Commonwealth history, and innumerable aspects of English social, political and economic history. The library is also a significant resource for local history and genealogy.

The library contains over 120,000 books as well as the archives of the Archbishops of Canterbury and other church bodies dating back to the 12th century.

Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden (formerly known as Leavesden Film Studios; colloquially Leavesden Studios or simply Leavesden), is a film and media complex owned by Warner Bros.. The studios and backlot sit on the site of the former Rolls-Royce factory at Leavesden Aerodrome, which was an important centre of aircraft production during World War II. It is situated in south west Hertfordshire approximately 18 miles (29 km) northwest of central London, in Abbots Langley.

Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, is one of only a few places in the U.K. where large scale productions can be made. The studios contain approximately 500,000 sq ft (50,000 m2) of flexible space which includes stage space, production office space and support buildings, along with an extensive 80-acre (320,000 m2) backlot which offers a 180 degree uninterrupted horizon, favourable for exterior sets.

Old Portsmouth




Portsmouth is the second largest city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire on the south coast of England. Portsmouth is notable for being the United Kingdom's only island city; it is located mainly on Portsea Island. It is situated 64 miles (103 km) south west from London and 19 miles (31 km) south east from Southampton.

As a significant naval port for centuries, Portsmouth is home to the world's oldest dry dock still in use and also home to some famous ships, including HMS Warrior, the Tudor carrack Mary Rose and Lord Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory. Although smaller than in its heyday, the naval base remains a major dockyard and base for the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Commandos whose Headquarters resides there. There is also a thriving commercial ferryport serving destinations on the continent for freight and passenger traffic. The City of Portsmouth and Portsmouth Football Club are both nicknamed Pompey.

Sloane Square 斯隆广场

Sloane Street is a major London street which runs north to south, from Knightsbridge to Sloane Square, crossing Pont Street about half way along, entirely in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Sloane Street takes its name from Sir Hans Sloane, who purchased the surrounding area in 1712. Many of the properties in the street still belong to his descendents the Earls Cadogan, via their company Cadogan Estates.

Sloane Street has long been a fashionable shopping street, especially the northern section closest to Knightsbridge, which is known informally as Upper Sloane Street. Since the 1990s Sloane Street's status has increased further, and it is now on a par with Bond Street, which has been London's most exclusive shopping street for two centuries. The street has flagship branches for many of the world's most famous brands in fashion.

A La Ronde


A La Ronde is an 18th-century 16-sided house located near Lympstone, Exmouth, Devon, England, and in the ownership of the National Trust. The house was built for two spinster cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter.

The house was completed in about 1796, and its design is supposedly based on the Basilica of San Vitale. It consisted of 20 rooms, the ground floor ones radiating out from a 10.7 metres (35 ft) high hallway, named "The Octagon", and originally connected by sliding doors. The lower ground floor housed a wine cellar, strong room and kitchen and an upper octagonal gallery housed an intricate hand-crafted frieze. Between the main rooms were triangular-shaped closets with diamond shaped windows. Much of the internal decoration was produced by the two cousins, whose handicraft skills were excellent. The house also contained many of the objets d'art, especially shells, which the cousins brought back from their European Tour.

Borough Market is a wholesale and retail food market in Southwark, London, England. It is one of the largest food markets in London, And sells a large variety of foods from all over the world.

The wholesale market operates on all weekday mornings from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m., but the retail market operates only on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The market, which has focused historically on fruits and vegetables, has in recent years added stalls dealing with the fine food retail market,[2] including some of the market's most famous traders Artisan Bakers DeGustibus, Furness Fish & Game Supplies, Peter Gott and Sillfield Farm, and the Spanish company Brindisa.

Coffee - History of England

"The first coffee house in London," says John Aubrey (1626–97),  "was in St. Michael's Alley, in Cornhill, opposite to the church.
The proprietor was Pasqua Rosée, the servant of Daniel Edwards, a trader in Turkish goods. Edwards imported the coffee and assisted Rosée in setting up the establishment.

Largely through the efforts of the British East India Company and the Dutch East India Company, coffee became available in England no later than the 16th century according to Leonhard Rauwolf's 1583 account.

The Grand Cafe in Oxford is alleged to be the first Coffee House in England, opened in 1650 by a Jewish man named Jacob. It is still open today, but is now a Wine Bar. Oxford's Queen's Lane Coffee House, established in 1654, is still in existence today. By 1675, there were more than 3,000 coffeehouses throughout England.

Pleasure Beach Blackpool is a family owned amusement park and resort situated along the Fylde coast in Blackpool, England.
It is the 3rd most visited amusement park in the United Kingdom, and one of the top twenty most-visited amusement parks in the world with an estimate of 5.5 million visitors in 2007.
The park is owned by the Thompson family. In 2003 the park opened the Big Blue Hotel, a four star hotel, making the park part of an official resort.
