Nikon is expected to announce the Nikon D5300 and Nikon D610 soon, which will be replacing D5200 and D600 subsequently.

According to the reports, Nikon is preparing several new and renovated cameras, to be introduced in the market within the next few months.

Specifically, the Japanese manufacturer is planing to launch a new professional underwater DSLR camera Nikon D4x, along with the improved Nikon D5300 and D610.

Nikon D5300 is expected to arrive during the first week of January, 2014, i.e. just before the CES 2014 to be held in Las Vegas, while the Nikon D610 is expected to be showcased at the end of October during the Photo Plus Expo 2013 in New York, which is quite imminent. The third SLR, Nikon D4x has been postponed to early 2014.

According to the rumors, Nikon D5300 is going to have some hardware improvements and support for Wi-Fi and GPS functionality, which lacked in the previous model of the series i.e Nikon D5200. The Nikon D610 will arrive in stores to permanently eliminate the problem of dust on the sensor found in the Nikon D600. This problem has discouraged many users to purchase the camera.

Besides, Nikon is also reported to be working on a new underwater camera that could belong to the segment of mirrorless Nikon 1. For this camera, the company may also announce a series of interchangeable waterproof lenses precisely designed to work with such a system. Moreover, the availability still remains a mystery, but could happen in the Q1 of 2014.

Tamron announced the new 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DI VC USD lens. It will be available for A-mount sometimes in 2014. Price hasn’t been unveiled yet.
November 7, 2013, Commack, N.Y. – Tamron Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Morio Ono), a leading manufacturer of precision optics, has announced the development of an innovative ultra-telephoto zoom lens with a focal length range of 150mm to 600mm for full-frame and APS-C format DSLR cameras. The lens sample will be on display in the Tamron booth at the Salon de la Photo 2013 that will be held from November 7-11 in Paris, France. Pricing and delivery information are not available at this time.

TOKYO - Nikon Corporation is preparing for the release of its next-generation flagship model, the D4S Nikon digital SLR camera, and will exhibit it, before official release, at the Nikon booth at the 2014 International CES, to be held Tuesday, January 7 through Friday, January 10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. International CES is one of the world's largest consumer technology exhibitions.
As Nikon's new flagship model, the D4S will offer advances over the Nikon D4 digital SLR camera that include even better image quality enabled with adoption of a new image-processing engine, and more advanced autofocusing performance.

Sigma is rumored to announce a new 24-70mm f/2 OS HSM lens. The lens is expected to be released next year during the 2014 Photokina show in Germany. The new lens will be priced below the Canon's 24-70 f/2.8 ($2,299).
