They also didn't explain alot of other sub characters in the first installment. Besides Coco's parents, Roy's parents and Zoe's relatives were not mentioned nor explained... I guess they never intended this to be a direct sequel since even the airline has changed name (Solar Airlines to Skylette Airlines). Maybe that means that everything has changed. They still have some of the same props, like Sam's Solar pilot hat, or Zoe's Triangel that's now probably have a broken neck from the way Capt. Coo swing it around (:P). Either way, it's hard to get the same group of actors/actresses to be on the same boat after 10 years... :(
