I am using this one...I bought mine at Yodobashi 2 year ago for around HK$150
(Much cheaper now?)

I saw an OEM selling for US$1.49 @ ebay.
ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control.

It works on my J1, D40x and D7100. and most of the Nikons :)

Pros:
1. Cheap
2. Self portraits or video
3. Won't shake the camera because of the wire.
4. Won't accidentally pull the camera with wire.
5. U can hold one flash (by hand) and remote fire the camera from a tripod 10 feet away.
6. Great for wildlife photography

7. Some Nikons has FRONT & REAR infrared receivers!
# 4 & 19 of D5200

p.s. MC-DC2 cost more? Wire are expensive and the interface (plug) need to pay royalty(?!)

Tamron uses the term VC (Vibration Compensation)
But really need "VC" off on tripod?
(I don't have VR lens... :( still saving money for a good lens...)
