第一卷於2006年12月出版，第二卷於2007年3月31日出版，第三卷於2007年7月27日出版，第四卷於2007年12月29日出版。
TYPE-MOON於2010年12月21日公佈Fate/Zero動畫化的消息，製作公司為ufotable，電視版動畫於2011年10月1日開始播出。
動畫分成前半部及後半部；前半部共13集，播映時間為2011年10月－2011年12月；後半部共12集，播映時間為2012年4月－2012年6月；共25集。

hmm I can't player the episodes from 8-18 :( what media player are you guys using to play the movie ?
I'm using vlc and it saids "No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video f ...
