The accident occurred when the Ferrari's driver lost control and hittwo oncoming vehicles which resulted in the F430 winding up in a fieldwhere a fire started in the engine compartment. Fortunately none of theother people involved were hurt and the driver and passenger escapedfrom the Ferrari inferno unharmed as well. However, the driver wasticketed 40 euros for the crash.
