本港公民黨立法會議員陳淑莊今日(周一)在瑞士日內瓦聯合國人權理事會(U.N. Human Rights Council)會議發言，批評港警對示威者使用過分武力，指有示威者面對警員的暴力對待及侮辱，其中有女示威者公開表示被警員搜身時遭受侮辱，另有被扣留的示威者被拒獲得醫療及法律援助。陳淑莊又提及有急救人員被警方的布袋彈射盲眼，並稱迄今警方已發射了逾2,000枚催淚彈。 tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb: E& I' l9 P) j

轟「曱甴論」令暴力合理化

陳淑莊又說，有警員以「曱甴」稱呼示威者，令暴力對待示威者的行為，變成與「可接受的滅蟲行為」(as acceptable pest control)一樣。她表示，「今日是反修例運動第100日，但警方仍然沒有克制跡象」(no sign the police will exercise restraint)，認為「這是香港欠缺民主的直接結果，因為港府根本毋須為其支持警隊濫權問責」(This is a direct result of the lack of democracy in Hong Kong, as the government is not held accountable for its endorsement of police abuse)。 tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb0 n& `: d3 O9 ^- y c
