IHP challenge

I just got a HP laptop that runs Vista. I downloaded a movie using Btcomit. It tried to play it, no picture, only sound. I copied the file to my flash drive and played with another computer. Everything is fine. I tested if my HP can play flash drive and it works.  I can watch the video on my HP using a flash drive, but when I copy the file to my desktop, I can only hear the sound, no picture.  Any idea?  Please help.

your computer has the codec to play the movies
  y4 s4 w' m( G2 a2 n8 wu can donload from www.codecguide.com download the mega version it can play all the vedio format include rmvb

that's weird, I never have this problem with my old laptop. All the versions are the same for real player and bitcommit. The only thing I can think of is my old laptop runs XP window and the new HP runs Vista.  Does it makes any differences?
